Three Locals and a Latte

In a quiet New York City Starbucks circa 2007, Muse was born. And boy has she grown. Started by three local guys over a cup of Joe (sorry Starbucks, we're a bit Latte'd out), Muse has been the product of creativity and inspired persistence, backed by a passion for innovation and all that is Web 2.0. And yes, a general love for weddings, too.

How it started

In search of an office and with only a few laptops and the dream of changing the online wedding industry, two New York City entrepreneurs, Prasanth and Lou camped out at a Starbucks and got to work. After months of brainstorming, planning and doppio-lattes, the Muse roadmap was created.

Like all great journeys, they needed some great company. So, they asked a rock star programmer, Mike to help them build the first social network for the online wedding community. After a silent but firm "yes," in November 2007, Muse Beta was launched.

With just a simple set of online planning tools, after a very short time Muse Beta earned its place in the mix of wedding planning sites with easy to use and fast moving Web 2.0 applications.

After the New Year, the guys got back to work on the next version of Muse. This time things would be a bit different, though. Not only would Muse 2.0 set a standard for online wedding planning applications, it would also introduce the first real wedding social network online.

Now, in August 2008, Muse 2.0 is the first website of its kind to combine online planning with sharing and connectivity, creating a cool alternative for the online wedding world.

Introducing Our Rock Star Wedding Band

Lead Vocals: Prasanth (Muse Alias: Cali) Prasanth's got some pipes (and by pipes we mean mad skills) and been doing it for a long time. He loves leading teams, managing kick-ass projects, and architecting awesome applications with unheard of style. When not Musing, you can find him cycling in the New York City streets... with a veil on nonetheless.

Rhythm and Bass: Lou (Muse Alias: Clio) A modern day Desi Arnaz (that's a joke), Lou provides the beat to the Muse team. He is a finance fanatic, social networking junky and marketing maniac with a track record of fun loving projects. Among other things, he has a deep passion for music, film and very long walks on the beach.

Acoustic Science & Technology: Mike (Muse Alias: Mica) Former member of the band "Rock and Roll Jesus," Mike is the technologic backbone of the Muse team. He is a coding extraordinaire, technology guru and astute problem solver. On weekends, you can find him watching Die Hard and other 80's movies, often citing "Yippie-kai-yay ..."

Supporting Cast: Muse is supported by best in class coders, testers, marketers, artists and designers to make it the coolest online wedding site around.
